How to Wear your Maxi

A few days ago I was talking to my sister about maxi skirts.  I really love the way they look on other people, but I always feel like I just can't pull them off!  I am very short waisted, and I feel like the "high waisted" style makes me look top heavy, and the low waisted version looks dowdy!

After some experimentation, I discovered the trick to the maxi...HEELS!  Pairing an extra-long maxi with heels lengthens the body and makes you look 100 feet tall (or in my case at least 5'7!).  Also, I found that tucking in a looser fitting tank, and wearing a longer sweater, makes the look more casual.  I added some fun bangles to liven up the look and of course, my sensitive eyes need big sunglasses!
