Preppy in Pink

The weather here is still warm (64 today!).  While some people, including myself before the move, would think this is "boot" weather, I thought it was warm enough to be in shorts!  Growing up in California, I remember seeing tourists during "winter" wearing shorts and t-shirts! I couldn't understand how they were NOT cold, and how they thought that 60 degree weather was warm enough for shorts! Now, sadly, I have become one of those people!  Luckily, the weather is only supposed to get warmer from here on out, but here's the kicker...THUNDERSTORMS for the next 4 days! Welcome to the Midwest!

Anyway, enough with the weather.  Last tonight was such a nice night, Dave and I decided to go to Upland Brewery so we could sit outside in their patio section to eat!  Of course, everyone in town had the same idea, and the place was insane! Luckily, we only had to wait 30 minutes for a table, which for B-town seems crazy! Dave and I both got the spicy black bean burger which literally burned our tongues right off our mouth!  I didn't understand that the sauce on the side was the "inferno" dipping sauce- I thought it was a sweet honey mustard for french fry dipping purposes!  Sooooo, the first thing I did when the food came was to take a fry and smother it in "honey mustard."  After that it only took about half of a second to realize what I had done, and my taste buds were on fire for the rest of the night!  It was O.K. though, we finished off the night with a stop at Red Mango (Chocolate Moose was closed).

    1. Thanks Tami! I think I might be completely nuts-64 in Cali is considered scarf and boot weather! Ha-Ha! I think I am just so desperate for spring, I will do ANYTHING to be in shorts!
